Burning my throat

I just recently picked up the Innokin MVP 3.0 Pro starter kit, it came with the mvp 3 mod, a Isub G tank, 1 coil.

I noticed that it tastes semi burnt (the vapor) and it destroys my throat, it hurts really badly. Almost as if it burning really badly, however, my tongue, mouth etc feel absolutley fine. It causes me to cough and drink water or elese it is unbearable.

I have used other vapes with 12mg nicotine and its no problem, this however is 0mg. a 50/50 pg vg grape flavor, and a 70/40pg vg.

I am unsure if it just needs breaking in, if its the vapor or what. I was FINE with my friends vape pen, 0mg no burn at all really really smooth and i loved it. I dont even want to vape anymore.

How many watts do you have it set on.

I think i may have burnt my coil, it would explain the burning taste and burning right?

Yes it would explain a lot. too many watts may burn the coil also is the airflow open and how far?

12mg is high for a subtank also 70%PG is also high subtanks like higher VG ratios

I keep airflow half way, this is the recomended wattage for the tank.

I think that i may have burnt it when i first put my tank on, i accidently fired it up for like a second but im not sure if that is enough

Recommended wattage is not the best, what's the best depends on the juice. I run 12 - 15 watts with a .5 coil, and 80% VG but that's me.

Doesn't take much to burn a dry cotton wick

also, i cant seem to be able to replacce the coil, when it came it was extremely tight, i will keep working on it, and check the coil out but

if it was burnt would i just have to replace cotton or the whole coil

I put it on 15 watts and i seem to not be getting the burn, huh ill see tho

Once you burn the coil the burnt taste gets absorbed into the juice, you may have to put fresh juice in it, plus a coil. I'm not familiar with that coil. maybe someone else here is.

I do not have any burn at 12 W, and the burnt taste seems to be gone for the most part. Thanks man, ill still be swapping this coil tho im pretty sure it is burnt.

Remember to prime the wick before putting it in.

The iSub G tank's coil has organic cotton in it so it's most likely (like Rich said), that you burnt the wick. Once burnt, you can't get the taste completely out so you'll definitely want to be changing out the coil as soon as you can.
