tdh0085
i got a silver panzer from a buddy the other day and I don't know if its real or a clone. in videos ive seen the panzer unscrews into 5 pieces but mine wont. idk if its just stuck or what but I tried and I cant get any part of it off except the top cap where the battery goes in.1. when you take off the top cap the contact pin is brass, not copper. in the videos I watched the contact pin (when screwed in and looking at it from the side) is skinnier at the top and goes down to a pancake-like bottom. mine is all one size except where it contacts the atomizer its a smaller diameter to fit in the hole of the top cap...make sense? I hope lol2. contact pin is all one piece...when u take it out u can see thru the hole where u screw the atomizer on. so u can adjust the pin for battery rattle.3. the button on the bottom has the gas mask logo with a 1740 underneath. its brass4. when u look at it head on from the top it has the 'atom' design (I think that's what its called) and its powder coated.5. it says "Panzer" on the side of the top cap with "MCV Philippines" underneath it.6. there are some minor inconsistencies in the detail work if u pay close attention but then again I heard that the clone has a better look/feel that the real ones.7. all of the lines/grooves of the main body look really good, no inconsistencies there. I just don't know what to make of it lol. ive seen several videos online that compare real ones and clones but mine doesn't look like either one (ie: contact pin is brass not copper and doesn't come apart into 5 pieces that screw together, but then again mine could be stuck.) I looked for areas where u could see that 2 pieces were screwed together, like the gap between the top cap and the rest of the body when the top cap is screwed on, but didn't see any, it looks like one solid piece of stainless steel. I just want someone to post definitive proof that mine isn't or isn't real. or a pic/vid comparing the obvious differences between the 2.

tdh0085
wow that's a huge difference compared to a real one. hopefully someone can identify it based on my video
Christopher
I'd say with about 80% certainty it's clone. Most notable is the missing detail on the top cap (the missing grain that's usually present in the etch marks as show in the video below) It's pretty tough to spot out clones as the Chinese really excel at copying things. (In fact they genuinely take pride in the process) but given what you paid, it's still a pretty good deal. Honesty these mechanical devices generally perform close the same. (clone or not)
