Keirmitchell Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I have a kanger subox and every time I put in my battery my box gets insanely hot. And after about 5 minutes I can't vape because it says temp high. And my box won't cool down unless I take the battery out. Please help me with this problem
kitsune Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I'm sorry i wont be much help, but somebody will be along soon. Hang in there
Earthling789 Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 The K-box only has indicator lights, so I'll assume it is a sub-box-mini?If the box itself is getting hot when you insert the battery, the system is likely shorting out, or the chip-set is defective. They should not get hot!Does it get hot with the tank OFF of the box? If so, it is definitely a box malfunction. What kind of battery are you using? (brand, mAh, Amp-rating, etc) cesar 1
Keirmitchell Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 It is an 18650 Sony 2100 MA and 3.7 volts
FXRich Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) That battery should be OK sounds to me like you may have a stuck switch or a short somewhere else. Does it overheat with the tank off? I forgot to ask did it ever work? Edited July 19, 2015 by FXRich

FXRich Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Hopefully he got it in the US, Its a PITA to return something to China.
Tam Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 He also said that it gets hot even without the tank on it.
FXRich Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Then its defiantly a bad mod and he should return it.
Keirmitchell Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 That is what I was thinking. It was working great for a while but it started acting up randomly one day and it hasn't worked right since. And my battery life is only like an hour and a half fully charged
FXRich Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 How long have you had it? Did you try a different battery? Usually a bad battery just doesn't work.
cesar Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) Sticky button ?...I never had that problem with vaporizers, but I remember one of my kids toys had a sticky button that made the toy go on and off by itself..it ended up flying through the window... Edited July 19, 2015 by cesar
