kyle00 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 When I don't have my tank attached, my battery works fine. But when I do attach it, nothing happens. I am new to all this so I am seeking some help.
Tam Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Before we can troubleshoot this for you, we need to know what kind of battery and what tank you have. Name brands and models will be very helpful.
kyle00 Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Sorry. It is a Lotus battery, and the tank is an Arctic. When I put the tank on the battery, the lights for the voltage will flash really quick, then nothing happens.
kyle00 Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 I just tried my matrix tank and that doesn't work as well when I put it on the battery.
Jeffb Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Sometimes if you screw a tank on too tight it may cause the mod not to fire.
Jeffb Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 hmm very curious. My first thought was maybe your mod won't fire sub ohm, but I read its supposed to fire down to .2 ohm. All I can think of now is that your mod is defective since it doesnt work with both tanks.
kyle00 Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Yes, there is a switch on the side of that. In the directions it says "Switch down: LED shows the Battery Status. 0% - 100% = 6.6v - 8.4v" It is displaying a 5.16. Does that mean I dont have enough of a charge?
Tam Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I assume your batteries are charged?Good one, Jeff. I always forget to ask the more obvious question. Not familiar with this set up so I'll back out and let others who are more versed on it take over.
Jeffb Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Yes, the switch in the bottom position shows remaining battery voltage ( of the batteries in series). 5.16v is well below 0%.
Jeffb Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Have you used this mod before? I assume it was working?
jasonculp Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Yes, there is a switch on the side of that. In the directions it says "Switch down: LED shows the Battery Status. 0% - 100% = 6.6v - 8.4v" It is displaying a 5.16. Does that mean I dont have enough of a charge?I think Jeffb nailed it. If your batteries are showing 5.16 your batteries are dangerously low (if 2.58 is even possible). If the specifications are correct it should not go below 6.6 volts, which is 3.3 volts/battery since they are in series (i am assuming based on the 8.4v = 100%)
kyle00 Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Yes it was working fine. I bought it yesterday actually, and never charged it since, and using it like every 5 min hehe. I hope this fixes it, I am charging now, look back on the thread in a few min and I will post if it worked. jasonculp 1
jasonculp Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) Hey, Jeff. Is this battery a pass through?Tam-Here is the only information I can find on it. LE80 Mod by Lotus It looks like it is running 2 18650 batteries in series, so I bet, unless it has a 9 volt charger, it uses an external charger. I am not positive though. Jeffb Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I watched a review and it said it uses an external charger for the batteries
kyle00 Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Jeff thank you so much! It works and I am good to go. Thanks everyone.
