Earthling789 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) PH = Porter House I had pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes, green beans, and fresh corn on the cob... nothing special, but there's nothing left but dirty dishes Edited October 17, 2015 by Earthling789 Tam 1
Squid Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Porter House steak? Sounds good. My grill is down, people at the Propane filling spot learned to read, my tanks are out of date.Gotta make a trek to a couple exchange places for new ones.....
cany Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 What is a PH steak? We're grilling some grass fed, antibiotic-free rib eyes, sauteed mushrooms, fried potatoes with onions and a green salad tonight. Pics
Tam Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Pics Sorry! Forgot to get pics before we wolfed it down. We were really hungry.

Tam Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 If it's any consolation, the steaks looked great but it was the toughest pieces of meat we've had in years.

Compenstine Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I made Spaghetti and garlic toast tonight, it was just to cold to grill here. It was awesome though.Sorry to hear about the tough steaks... I would not have been a happy camper. That is one thing nice about being in the country, lots of good butchers and fresh meat. jasonculp 1
Tam Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 With the price of meat these days, we weren't too happy either. But, as I said, it's the first tough steaks we've had in years so that's a little bit of consolation. Mmmmmm, spaghetti. That's good eats any time of year.
Compenstine Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 It is a favorite in this house. I make enough for 10 people and have leftovers.... don't last 2 days. LOLAt least you had the flavor but, yeah at the prices these days... I would not have been happy. Tam 1

Bebop Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I will in fact be both grillin AND chillin tonight. Most likely at the same time even with a brew in one hand and the tongs in another as we approach - what's that called again? - oh yeah, winter. In fact, we have some if those things in the sky - what are they again? - oh yeah, clouds and it looks like it might - what is that thing where water falls from the sky? Oh, rain and shortly I will be moving all grillin (and chillin) operations indoors. Tam and jasonculp 2
Tam Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 No grilling tonight, just some homemade shrimp egg foo young with a gravy-like sauce and white rice.
