ezsqueek
hey, fellow vapers i recently bought a k-100 mod from a buddy of mine and it came with a fully charged battery however he didnt supply a charger. i acquired a charger and charged the battery for the recommended 7-10 hours and the light was still red. i then attempted to charge it for a night and half the next day but still no change after the long charge i placed the battery in my mod and it worked for about 20 minutes or so then died the battery is a samsung SDI 18650 with the flat top and the charger is one of those cheap single shot chargers the positive contact of the charger has rigid grooves am i using the wrong charger? is my battery done for? Compenstine
Welcome to VT Without having a second battery to test the charger with, it is kinda hard to tell what is bad. If you have a multimeter you could check the output of the charger to see if it is working properly or not.
ezsqueek
i checked the voltage of the charger while plugged in and it read 4.2 volts and the battery read 3.1 volts
Compenstine
Your charger should state the output on the sticker. Is the Output showing it should be 4.2 volts? I'm assuming does as mine shows it's output at 4.2 volts. I would say either the battery is not getting a good connection to the contacts of the charger or the battery is bad.
