logan108 Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 Also is it normal that I can spin the drip tip around?
Rixter Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Also is it normal that I can spin the drip tip around? Not all drip tips are created equally.
logan108 Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 Not all drip tips are created equally. well like I can spin it like where it locks into the drip tip hole. Overall this is a extremely beautiful piece of machinery
Rixter Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Is it the drip tip that's loose or the top cap of the atty?
logan108 Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) Let's see if I can describe it okay inside of the top cap of the atty there's a black piece that connects the drip tip to the top cap of the atty and when I rotate the drip tip this black piece rotates too Edited February 21, 2015 by logan108
Rixter Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Snap a picture of the top of the atty if you don't mind...maybe we can diagnose the problem and come up with a fix for you.
logan108 Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) that black piece from both sides Edited February 21, 2015 by logan108
Rixter Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I don't have a Plume Veil personally, but I'm gonna guess that the black piece is an insulator to keep your drip tip from getting really hot when sub-ohming. As long as it's getting a good seal, I don't see where its rotating should be too much of a problem (as far as performance goes). Maybe another Plume owner will reply with a better answer.

I didn't think it would be but I wanted to check also he pre wrapped it for me and the cotton seems to be frilled some is this normal?
Rixter Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Looks good. The build deck is just like my Infinite CLT.
logan108 Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 Looks good. The build deck is just like my Infinite CLT. Okay good also there is a RBA that I have really been thinking of getting a clone of because of how it's set up as well as how it looks and that's the Copper Doge with the removable Tip any suggestions on where to get one?
Compenstine Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I didn't think it would be but I wanted to check also he pre wrapped it for me and the cotton seems to be frilled some is this normal? Once you juice that up it will looked less frilled. That is typical of dry cotton from cotton balls.
logan108 Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 Is getting Attys from eBay safe? I've heard a lot of people say not to trust it.
logan108 Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 Check their feedback rating. Okay thank you also where's a good place to get kanthal as well as organic cotton?
Rixter Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I get my Kanthal A-1 here, and the Vapor Talk Store has Japanese organic cotton here.
Tug Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I've bought several pieces of vape gear on EBay.Only order from people with a 100% positive feedback rating.
Compenstine Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I must agree with Rixter, Temco for the wire. For small amounts of Japanese organic cotton, the VT store has a very reasonable price. If you just want cotton balls Walgreens will work fine for Organic cotton balls. One bag will last you a year or more. Rixter 1
Rixter Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I like the Japanese organic cotton pads because the strands run parallel to each other and that seems to wick better for me. YMMV.
Compenstine Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Yes the JOC wicks so much better. I have proven that to myself with the testing I have been doing. It doesn't seem to matter what brand either so don't get hung up any brand. Rixter 1
