Rixter Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 For those of you who haven't seen this, here's a very cool little mod with a really innovative magnetic "joystick" fire button. I've included a couple of vids because a picture just doesn't do this mod justice. The Calvert 18350 Mod by Monake I so want one of these! shen_long86 1
Bebop Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Okay! That's pretty cool. Simple, clean mod. I likey.
Earthling789 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I really like the design! I wonder if they'll produce an 18650 version, and/or one in brass or copper?

Earthling789 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Awesome! If I order it today, I can have it by August My order placed on 1/3 to Fasttech was packaged and shipped on 2/3, and has been sitting in a Chinese PO since 2/4... and hasn't moved an inch It still has a week to get to Chicago (US Customs), where it will sit another 7-10 days... I figure I'll eventually receive it by mid-March or early April... Rixter 1

I've been completely satisfied with just about everything I've ordered there, but sometimes the shipping times are pretty extreme. You can't beat their prices, though.
Earthling789 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Yep, if you're not in a hurry, that is... My last order to Fasttech saved me roughly $65+, so I try not to complain... but sheesh... you'd think that once it hit the China Postal system it would actually MOVE, and not be stagnant in the same place for 12 days (which will be at least 22 days, now, because of the Chinese New Year Holiday) before it finds its way onto another truck! The last couple of orders from Fasttech, however, shipped within days and I had them at my door in 3-4 weeks...
Mirage Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I placed two orders from sweet-vapes 5 minutes apart. One got to me a day early and the other just got here 5 days later... That's no rime or reason to me...Our postal service sucks just as bad as there's...lmo
DirtyBoot Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 If something was sitting since 2/4 in China postal, it might be worth checking on it today. My order also listed 2/4 and then sat with no update for a long time, but I just saw this afternoon that it now is in New York as of yesterday.
shen_long86 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Dirtyboot my order is in the same boat as being listed 2/4 but everytime i pull up tracking it does not show up. I also ordered from fast tech
vaping_jake Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I like the joystick method, seems it would be smoother than button style. Got to go find one to try hands on testing.
Compenstine Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Gotta play devils advocate here, my only thought that might be an issue is when you put it in your pocket. If you sit down it would just seem as if you my end up with it firing in your pocket. I did not see a safety cut off to keep it from firing. Just saying

Just saying Comp watch the first video...they show how to lock the mod.
Compenstine Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I must have missed that I'll watch it again.
Earthling789 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 The "safety" is activated by pulling the cap and turning it 90-deg. This puts the contact pins into the smaller holes, which prevent it from moving side-to-side and contacting the center-pin (negative contact).
Compenstine Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Yeap I see that now. LOL I must have been hypnotized by that music and didn't see the locking method.
Mirage Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Knowing Comp, he's been up all night mixing, packing and shipping stuff out to all of us...lol
Compenstine Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 LOL It was one of those rare times I was able to get some sleep and spend time with the family. Problem was I had just woke up and was still sleep fogged. LOL
