stangmama77
I'm new here, and I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Smok GBC? I just got my first vv/vw setup the other day (eleaf istick20) and that was the tank that came with the kit. I has started leaking pretty bad from time to time (not constantly) and I was just wondering if this is the norm for this particular tank or if it's maybe just a defect in the one I have. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Tam
Sorry, no experience with the Smok GBC, but whenever I hear of a tank leaking, it's usually the coil. Might change it out to another one to see if that's the culprit? Tug
stangmama77
Well I have 2 of these tanks, less than one week old, and they both do this. But the one seems to do it more when it's off the battery. I like to keep 2 so I can just switch them out. I know that can be done, so I'm just a little perplexed lol. Thanks for the tip though, and thanks for you time
Tam
Are you using the coils that came with the tank? Those usually are not the highest quality. In other tanks, I toss the ones that come in the package and put in "replacement" coils from a different pack. Just a couple of thoughts to help troubleshoot -- if possible. stangmama77
oh ok, yes I am, so that could definately be the problem then. I'll just have to wait now to get a pack because we just got hit with a major snow storm and it might be a couple days before I can get to my vape shop. Thank you! Tam
In the mean time, take the coil out, reseat and tighten finger tight making sure it's not cross threaded. Also, while you have the bottom part apart from the tank, blow gently through the top of the coil (hold the tissue loosely over the bottom part to catch any liquid that comes out). Put back together. That might help somewhat. Good luck and stay safe with the storm!

stangmama77
I tightened up my coils and that seems to be doing the trick. I mean there is still some tiny leakage here and there, but not flooding like there was. A couple drops is workable. Sad thing is, I was able to get out today cause they cleared the roads, and I stocked up on juice for the weekend (calling for more snow) and wouldn't you know it.....was gonna pick up some more coils to totally change them and see if that made things better, and I FORGOT! lol
