wastedpolabear Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 So i just bought a tank crossing vapor box. And i bought IMR MXJO batterys, my brother used it and gave it to me after saying batterys need charge. I've been charging for hours, but the charger hasn't turned green.... help?
wastedpolabear Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 I got them yesterday @tugboatHow old are the batteries? I got them yesterday
wastedpolabear Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 What are they? Sony,Samsung,EFest? Not sure.. i posted a picture
Tug Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 How long have they been charging? Not to insult your intelligence but are you putting them in the right way in the charger?
wastedpolabear Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 How long have they been charging? Not to insult your intelligence but are you putting them in the right way in the charger? Yes and atleast 5 hours
Tam Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 How many hours has it been charging? Since that's a 2500 mAh battery, it could take several hours depending on what kind of charger you have.
Earthling789 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) What charger are you using? Is it blinking to indicate charging, or rapid blinking to indicate "error"? Most chargers should charge a 2500mAh IMR battery within 3 hours... That charger looks like one of the cheaper Trustfire/Ultrafire brand chargers... which are really low charge rates. wastedpolabear Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 I heard im not suppose to overcharge them. So stayinh awake is getting to be a hassle
Tug Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Maybe you just got a bad battery.I've never heard of that brand.I've had this issue before.
Tug Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I heard im not suppose to overcharge them. So stayinh awake is getting to be a hasslewith an IMR battery they are made to not overcharge
wastedpolabear Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 with an IMR battery they are made to not overcharge So you think it'll be ok if i leave it up overnight
Tug Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 If it's been charging for that long then something is wrong with it.I would try taking it back and get another battery.Id recommend a Samsung 25r 18650.very good battery

Earthling789 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 From what I've read on them, the MXJO are re-wrapped LG18650HE2. It is also possible they are factory seconds from LG, so you may have a dud? Several reports say they are "superior", several say they are junk... so I have no experience with them to say one way or the other... But, if they are re-wrapped LG H2's, they are NOT 35A... they are 20A batteries. Tug 1

So that means the batterys were operational.

And i kinda want to take the chance of leaving it on overnight. Will those batterys work for this??

"Were" being the operative word... if they are factory seconds from LG... there is no guarantee how long they will last, how or if they will charge, or if they will "pop". Best to be safe and stick with known, reputable batteries... safety first! Tam and Tug 2
