Monkeyman
My Evolv DNA30 board was new about 2 months ago (replaced @ 3 months under warranty). About a month ago, I started having an intermittent issue with the ohms symbol not displaying although the correct resistance would display. Rebuilt my Kayfun tonight and now it's reading 0.00 ohms. I wrapped my coil at about 1.3 ohms so I know it's not too low. Has anybody else had an issue with the DNA30 chips? The mod manufacturer warranty is 4 months so this is now out of warranty. I don't feel like paying $80 (plus shipping) for them to replace the board (again). Any suggestions?
Compenstine
pull the battery if you can. let it sit for min and then put the battery back in. That will reset it. It may be that you have a short in your coil. if you have a factory coil tank, try it and see if it reads the same as the kayfun.
Earthling789
Check your MOD's top-pin too... Floating pins can be pushed too far down, and sometimes spring-loaded pins can stick and not make contact.with the atty.
Tam
Just a thought, what are you using to measure the coil's resistance? Have you tried something else to make sure your first measurement was correct? spydre
spydre
^^ What Tam said. Don't depend on your mod to read the resistance from your coil - could be a problem with the coil, not with the DNA 30 board. You have a separate tester?
