Tam
Have you seen the newest Hobbit yet? I think it's called "The Battle of Five Armies" but I'm too lazy to look it up right now. T-Bone
T-Bone
I haven't. I have a movie theater phobia, as weird as it sounds (lots of baggage over here)...and I only go to see movies I really, really want to see on the big screen. If this was a few years ago, I would have gone. The last movie I saw was Man Of Steel, before that Return Of The King. Before that, Avengers...and before that...believe or not, Independence Day...which ruined movie theaters for me even more!
Tam
I'm with you about staying out of movie theaters. Every time I've gone in the last ten years or so I've gotten sick from someone who tried to drown themselves in cheap cologne or perfume (I'm very allergic to scents and get sinus infections easily). Then, there are those who insist on talking through the entire movie and they must sit near me so I can hear everything they say. Also, the movie theaters in my area are bound and determined to make sure I need hearing aids after leaving their establishment. I much prefer to stay at home and have the convenience of watching it in comfort.
T-Bone
A friend and I went to a movie a long time ago, the place was empty... Some lady decided to sit DIRECTRLY behind us. Three people were there...my friend, this person and I. Edited December 27, 2014 by The Bone Slummer

T-Bone
All great flicks. I own them all. You said you've seen those, so mind if I make some recommendations? Sons Of Katie Elder (Wayne, Dean Martin) Cahill US Marshall The Longest Day (everyone in the world probably best WWII movie ever made) Open Range (Duvall and Costner...Costner is a BADASS!) Appaloosa 3:10 To Yuma (both the original and the remake with Christian Bale and Russell Crowe) The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (Jimmy Stewart if genius in this) Ride The High Country Ballad Of Cable Hogue The Wild Bunch Let me know if you want some more obscure ones. T-Bone
Duvall in Open Range. Breathtaking cinematography... I remember Duvall used to get "including" and "also staring" in movies like True Grit (Lucky Ned Pepper) etc... Now he's a force. Bebop
Yeah. Seen all of those. Some have been a long time but I always enjoy more than one viewing. Also thought Duvall was terrific in Lonesome Dove. Even though it was a TV mini series is was a great production
T-Bone
Wow, crazy that you mention it...but I just picked up the Lonesome Dove DVD set. Duvall is great! I really like the cut of his jib.

T-Bone
I love when he smacks Billy Bob Thorton in the face a few times and asks him, "Are you gonna do something...or stand there and bleed".... Russell really brought it to that movie!
