Bebop Posted December 22, 2014 Share Posted December 22, 2014 Just finished up a youtube binge of the rifleman (one of my favorites as a kid. I so wanted to be chuck connors) Well I don't know how I ever missed it but The Gunfighter was awesome. This western us right in my wheelhouse. What, were there 2 shots fired in the whole movie? The best westerns are about characters and this one was fine. It was a treat to see Richard Jaeckel in an early role and even a double surprise to watch the whole movie before I realized Skip Homeier was the young gunfighter. 16 years later he would be the leader of the hippie clan that commandeers the USS Enterprise in ST TOS. Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Gunsmoke...they used to show Bonanza after Gunsmoke but now they show Cheyenne. Rawhide used to be on, too. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
