Newish to vaping new to site

Hey guys name is cheeney just got my e leaf battery with heat vape kayfun 3.1 combo did my first coil and Re wick and got 2.4 ohm and 10.4 watt would like to see 1.7 to 1.8 ohm any suggestions

Also been trying to quit chewing tobacco but now since my work banned e cig I chew at work and vape 18mg at home any suggestions lol

Sounds like you hit the ground running, especially with starting out using an RTA, lol... I'm glad you're enjoying it. It sucks that your workplace banned vaping, but still allows you to chew/dip.

Just play with the amount of wraps you do to make the coils.you'll figure out what ohm you like eventually.

Seriously.buy you a roll of kanthal and just wrap a bunch of coils.How many wraps did you do to get 2.4ohms?

Ya I got a roll of Kanal I bought on ebay 20 gauge I belive and I'm at 7 wraps

OK.so do one with 6 wraps then 5.you'll find the sweet spot.I only have experience with RDA's so all my builds are sub ohm.Just play with different builds

I believe the lowest that eleaf will fire is 1.0ohm

Alright well I got my coil wrapped tight about ten coils and I'm at 1.5 ohm any ideas on a good volt /wattage I already burned up a wick after 3 hits lol

What kind of wicking are you using? I suggest only using cotton.also the more wide open you have the airflow the less vaccum it will have limiting how well it wicks the juice.Are you using a 50/50 blend? The higher VG stuff I've heard doesn't wick too great in those kayfuns.Other guys on the forum who have experience with them could further help out with the issue you are having.Hope this helps.

I'm using royal vapors 100 percent unbleached cotton sheets and ya I did open my vent a bit

OK.try closing the airflow off a little more and see if that helps any.I've been considering getting a kayfun myself but just haven't gotten around to it.I assume you primed the cotton first before vaping?

Cutting back on the airflow should help with the dry burns.I know you want clouds & flavor but without going to a RDA you usually have to sacrifice one for the other when it comes to RTA's.Get you a mech mod and a good RDA :-) then check out the Cloud chasing part of the forum.
