Anyone here have an AR mod clone? I'm thinking of making it and a 454 big block my new setup.Let me know!

Posted

I really like the looks of the AR mods. I do not have one though...

As for the Big Block. I know I was sure bragging on it the other day, but I am a little down on it right now. It is vaping fine, but the ground ring is just getting frustrating! It never bothered me until this weekend. I don't know if the twisted wire had something to do with it or what...

I was thinking about that ring,I bet that flat ribbon kanthal would work great on that RDA

No, it holds great. It makes some cool builds. I just thing the added springyness of the the twisted wire made it hard to build. I couldn't get the coils adjusted the way I wanted, and get the ring on at the same time. I probably should have torched them a while longer. I made the coils too tall and they nearly hit the lip inside the middle section. I am leaving on the road in the morning and won't be back until Friday. I am hoping that I am a little calmer by then.

Despite my frustration, I have really enjoyed the setup, great flavor and lots of vapor. I wish I had left off a coil on each one though. I think the .4 range works best for me and it is a high .5 nearly .6.

If I wouldn't have gone overboard for Black Friday I think I would get one of these: http://www.eciggity.com/clt-v2-rda-by-infinite/ The CLT V2. It looks easy!

That looks bada$$.I've heard good things about the HOBO rda's too,but I'm not sure about where the air holes are.seem too high up on the barrel

I just looked at the Hobo V2 and I see what you are saying. What is those holes on top for? It looks like it presses really far down on there! It seem to have a low chamber height which would make great flavor. I bet it would be kinda hard to build on with the tall sides on the juice wells. I do like the way it looks though.

I have not been using my dripper much. Really only on the weekends. I hate to invest too much more right now.

I have spent so dang much lately on new vape stuff, it is going to be hard to offset it with Christmas gifts for the wife!

I love my RDA's too but I'm getting tired of dripping after every 3 vapes.I'm strongly considering a Russian 91% or Kayfun.

I'm interested in the Billow you are getting Jason, I want to know how you like it when you get it set up. :)

As far as the Ar, I knew a couple that had one and liked it. I like how the color of the battery adds to the look of it.

that's one reason I want one you can see the battery and that thing won't get hot.My nemesis clone gets hot as hell after a 5 second rip.I'm a big gun guy and I've had AR 15's,so I think it suits me pretty well.

I had a Mech that did that too and I now use it for a build platform. There are contact issues with that Nemsis. What battery were you using in it?

Posted

Does sub ohming wear out batteries fast? If that's the case then I definitely need new ones.I've noticed a huge lack of output on these two that I have.

Posted

No they are real. The guys at my local shop know what they are doing.I trust them.its the same spot that gets hot on the tube.so it may be a combo of bad batteries and something screwy with my nemesis.I just used my last drop of juice so its going to be a while before I can get more juice and batteries.I want a new mod anyways.I'm going to be jonesin for a vape pretty bad until then lol

Posted

Yeah but I'm pretty sure these batteries are toast anyways.an AR mod will take care of the overheating issue.I've heard those Vamped batteries are pretty good for sub ohm builds

Comp,I've been meaning to ask you.The apple cider flavor you have on your line,is it apple cinnamon? Is it a good balance of the two? I'm definitely going to order some cinnamon stick when I can but I might get the apple cider too.

Posted

The Apple Cider is a combo of Clove Cinnamon and Allspice with a tart apple. It is very good in my opinion and others that have tried it. Had a couple people not like it, but taste in subjective. I don't think there is a flavor out there someone hasn't disliked. I extract my own spice flavorings for that as well.

I haven't used that battery before. VTC, Panasonic and MHKE? (I can never remember that acronym) are the only ones I am failure with and of those I would go VTC or Panasonic.

I used to smoke clove cigarettes so I do like that flavor.I can guarantee I'll like it.

Then you should also try my Killer Clove. It will numb your mouth a bit. LOL If you like clove it would be a treat! That is also one I can do in 100% VG like the Cinnamon Stick.

Posted

I probably wouldn't use the killer clove as a all day vape. But I do like it as a holiday vape.I was able to find on my battery what it is.its really faint And worn off but its a VTC4.I can see the outer green coating is melting in some spots and it has dark spots all over it.

The VTC 4 is printed on the battery under the green coating. But yes that is a bad battery I would not use it. How old is it? I would take it back and see if they feel it was just a bad one from the start and see if they will replace it.
