T-Bone Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 R.A. Montgomery, author of Choose Your Own Adventure books dies at 78.
Christopher Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Damn what a loss I think all of us remember these books pretty fondly.
T-Bone Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 I loved those books... Question is, did you keep your thumb at the decision page and go back to it, or start the story over again
jasonculp Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I loved those books... Question is, did you keep your thumb at the decision page and go back to it, or start the story over again I definitely left my thumb there! I really enjoyed those books. I was trying explain these to my step-daughter and grandson and they couldn't believe I had stacks of them. I couldn't believe they had no idea what I was talking about! Do they even still make them? It's a sad day.
T-Bone Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 No idea if they still make them...but they turned me into a lifelong reader. The possibilities of teaching how choices has consequences etc...
Soup Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I remember those. Also, the slightly more complicated 'Lone Wolf' series. T-Bone 1
T-Bone Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Oh man, those were great too...completely forgot about them! My friend and I, maybe 14 or 15 years old would read these...but I think there was another brand with a different title...and create characters for RPG. He was really good at drawing and would draw our character sheets and we'd either play the game in the books or TMNT...we never got into D&D, though. I wish I could remember those names...they were RPGs in and of themselves.
