Achilles Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 He just quit smoking before I was about to recommend him a starter kit ecigarette. I don't know whether this helps in quiting smoking, but they really looks cool and a new lifestyle alternatively.
aufin Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 There are plenty here who will tell you it certainly does help a person quit smoking. In my opinion, it is the best avenue for leaving cigarettes behind. @hope_photography123 1

Your father quit smoking a month ago without vaping and now you think he should start vaping? Sounds like he is already over the hump and there is no need for vaping unless he is still struggling.

My thoughts too... if he's not having cravings or struggling, I see no "need" for him to start vaping, but if he's having trouble staying "quit", then vaping would definitely be a good choice for him... I would recommend lower nicotine levels though... probably in the 6-12mg levels, but nicotine may not be what he's craving... sometimes it's just the need for visible-vapor or the need for hand-to-mouth repetition (or a combo of the three)?
fishguy1123 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I third the question... Please follow up with some details to clarify. I'm happy to hear he's off the stinkies no matter how it happend!
jonnoh Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I've always admired anyone who could quit tobacco however they do it. For me it was the hardest thing I ever tried to do. But after almost 50 years, I discovered vaping and after a few false starts with some of the first products, it was ridiculously painless. I continue to be amazed at my success at staying away from tobacco for more than 18 months. Best of luck to your father whether he takes up vaping or not. I'm sure it would be better for him if he can just cold turkey the habit, and certainly save some money.
