jasonculp
Sorry Bebop! There is nothing worse than Novocain mouth, except for the pain after it wears off! I hope you get better soon. Bebop
Tam
been there Done that. Just a couple weeks ago I went in for the second root canal in two months' time. Ow. What did you have done, Bebop? Hope the Novocaine wears off quickly but leaves you painless. Bebop

Bebop
Lol I feel better now, thanks guys. I did a deep cleaning, you know, where they get out all the gizmos and scrape from your toes up? Yeah, real fun.... But there's a RC coming according to the doc so, oh boy, I get to do it again! Yay I just hadn't been numbed up since I started vaping and it was really weird. Tam
Ugh. I am so over having root canals. Even for me, two in two months is a bit much. I hope yours goes painlessly and is over before you know it. My dentist is a miracle worker and can get me numb so I feel nothing. That's not an easy task. He's not sure what to make of me, though. My physiology is so weird. Two roots were melded into one, the third root was pointing off toward Egypt and curved outward. Me? I kept falling asleep in the dentist chair while he was busy drilling. Earthling789
I've had more dental work done in my life for 2 or 3 people... I empathize with anyone in a dentist's chair Hope you feel better real soon! Bebop
jasonculp
I've had more dental work done in my life for 2 or 3 people... I empathize with anyone in a dentist's chair Hope you feel better real soon! I am with you on this one. I wore braces from 5th grade to Senior year. I made them take them off. Through years of on and off drug use (in my youth) My teeth deteriorated. When I got clean, I had my teeth fixed. I spent 10's of thousands getting them fixed. I had 6 root canals on top and 2 on bottom. Jump ahead to my late 30's. The damage was so bad that they decided to pull my top teeth, and give me dentures. I am one of the lucky ones, no one knows if I don't tell them. I had all of the bottom ones fixed at that time. 6 more root canals, and 2 caps. To make things worse they tell me my bottom teeth will probably not make it into my 50's. I have been hoping that by the time I get there, I can afford implants, or locked in dentures. The top ones have been a life saver, I can eat without pain and they don't have gaps. From what I hear bottom dentures are not enjoyable. I am sorry for the long drawn out explanation. I just want you to know "I feel your pain". There is no pain like tooth pain! Tam

I just want you to know "I feel your pain". There is no pain like tooth pain! I could not agree more. I am 44 now and have had a top plate (denture) since I was 27 due to growing up with hard water and not being taught proper dental hygiene at an early age. In the last 3 years I have had the top plate replaced with an implant and on my bottom teeth I have had all them capped with 8 requiring Root Canals. Had dental appointments every Monday at 10am for a 7 month stretch to get all these done. One tooth would not numb and I gave "sedation dentistry" a shot and let me say NEVER again will I have a root-canal or any major dental work done any other way. No Novocaine, no numb feeling....just a killer buzz and a fun afternoon. With my insurance sedation cost only about $100 more than traditional and I have spent more than that to feel as good as I did with sedation recreationally back in the day haha. jasonculp
