Jbads
Hey first time on an ecig forum, looking forward to seeing interesting topics and discussions. I have a cana modz device and my displayed battery voltage is 4.0 even though the battery is a sony vtc4, is this safe?
mcquinn
hello. Can't really say about the mod. It is not unusual for a battery to read high when fully charged and not under load though .
Earthling789
Welcome... The Sony VTC4 is a "3.7V" battery, but at full-charge, they will normally be reading between 4.1 and 4.2V... this is normal! I'll use mine until they reach 3.5-3.6V and then re-charge them... they'll actually last longer if you charge them more often (top them off), and don't drain them to "nothing" each time you use them. Jbads
Well the odd thing is the more I increase the wattage the more is added to the batteries voltage.
Earthling789
Your mod is a high Wattage device, circuitry controlled to boost Voltage/Amps/Wattage. Yes, as you increase Wattage (but coil resistance remains static), more Amps are required, thus more Voltage.
