jasonculp
I am getting ready to head to the vape shop. I have got to find a flavor for my dripper. I built a .6ohm dual coil setup last night on my TOBH. I really like the amount of vapor, and the quality of the vapor. I just can not find anything I like the taste of. I normally do fruit flavors and even tried tobacco flavors but I made myself sick trying them all last night. Drip, Vape, Rewick, Repeat... I have never done, the coffee, or cream flavors, so I am thinking about them. I can't do peanut butter flavors because it seems to stick in my sinuses and I taste it all day. I don't know where to start. I am also going to pick up some VG to cut some of them and maybe that will help. My juices are all 50/50, 60/40,24mg & 18mg. I need something a little weaker. I understand that taste is subjective, but I am getting desperate!
Earthling789
I'm not a dripper (yet), but I will say that I noticed none of the flavors I loved in my Kanger tanks tasted the same in my Russians. The mixtures I use in my tanks are a bit too intense in the Russians, especially bakery and cinnamon flavors. Adding a little VG helped, but I've not found the 'sweet-spot' yet for some of my fruit flavors (muting them too much). Nicotine is another biggie, I normally use 12-18mg in my tanks, but even with the Russians, I've had to drop to 6 and 12's... the 18's were nicotine overload, but I think everyone using an RBA/RDA will agree you have to drop your nic levels by half (or more), compared to what you use in tanks. I would suggest you take your RDA with you, along with some extra wick material, and try a few flavors that way? It's the only way you'll really know if it works for you, in your rig. jasonculp
Thank you. You are exactly right, everything is just too intense. I have never taken a setup into the vape shop before, I am not really proud of my coils or my $14.00 mod. I think you are correct though, taking it with me is the best answer. fishguy1123
Just remember, it's not about how fancy your gear is. It's about finding what works so you stay off analogs! Definately lower your nic in an rda with sub ohm builds and a VG heavy juice will likely reduce the TH some. Good luck.
Bebop
Hopefully the shop will help you out. If it is truly a flavor problem then it could quite possibly be your build and air flow that is a major issue. Good luck
Vaporsmith
These guys above me pretty much nailed it, but here's my 2 cents. Wicking material, wicking position, and airflow are the main factors. I find that Japanese cotton has the best flavor, but I know other people prefer different things like silica, regular organic cotton, cotton gauze, etc. I'd also drop the nic down to about 8mg if you are at 18-24 right now. I use 12mg in my kafuns and foggers, but with dripping I use 6mg. Best of luck! Edited August 30, 2014 by Vaporsmith
Richstag
Ask them for their MAX vg blends. Cream flavors are good. Anything max vg is usually for a dripper. Although I had some that were vg only but very thin still. Ask them for cerial killa by 9 south vapes. Try some 4mg and 3mg max vg juices. Don't worry if you found your rig in a dumpster or if the coils are shorty. But if they give you coil, wicking and airflow tips take them into account. I found with mine the slightest changes made huge differences. Coils higher or lower and closer out to air holes. Wicks never under the coils. Same length on each coil exactly if dual coil. Tight build compressed but fire red hot after compressing and before rewickinf to let them even out. Things like this. Air flow below your coil vs centered or above. Play around once you find a good flavor and make it even better. That's the beauty.
jasonculp
Thanks everyone! I kinda ended up doing a little of everything y'all suggested. I came out with 90 ml. of my All Day Vape, and 5 new flavors. They are all 20PG/80VG 9mg. Out of the 5 I think 2 are going to work, possibly 3. I really can't describe them, but the ones I am enjoying on it are cream-ish flavors and one is a citrus/cream. I think I have a favorite for now. It is called Easter Island. It is good enough I am enjoying it quite a bit. Now that I am enjoying the flavor, I can focus on the coils and wicking.
