FundamentalForce
I received an E5 error message while scrolling through the menu of my new Semovar. It flashes only periodically, although has happened more than once. Having read the instructions, I've come to understand this has something to do with the battery not being able to supply the necessary output for the load. I find this strange, however as my battery indicator showed 75% remaining power and I was vaping a 1.6 ohm coil on only 3.9 volts (Kayfun lite plus v2). There have been instances where I have vaped 10 Watts on a 2 ohm coil with 25% battery remaining and not gotten this error. I was using an Efest 3.5 2000 mHa lithium high drain IMR battery. I have just switched to a freshly charged Samsung 2600 mHa high drain IMR Lithium battery, and have yet to see the error message. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you. And now strangely enough the Samsung only shows 75% full right off the charger. Strange.
Earthling789
Sounds like the error message was correct. That Samsung battery has reached the end of it's life, and was not capable of storing a proper charge or delivering proper current. Showing 75% right off the charger is a good indication that it's time to toss that battery.
