Just picked up a DNA 30 Tobecco mod which has a blinking ohm symbol when and after firing. Does anyone know why? Also is there any way to just adjust voltage? Manual wasn't much help. Thanks for any help!

So I bought a Tobeco DNA 30 basically so I could have a regulated device to make a sub ohm coil and tried it out with my kayfun. I'm using a coil my ProVari and ohm meter see as 1.7 but the DNA reads as 1.6, but this is no big deal. What I do have a slight issue with however is that anytime I try to fire the thing under 10 watts, it flashes the ohm reading at me telling me there is too little power to regulate. Well I did some math (dangerous for me) and checked a volts to ohms chart to be sure, and found that I really shouldn't be vaping this over 3.9 volts. It's too hot. It doesn't seem to be scorching, but I'm a little annoyed in principle. If I build a .8 Ohm coil will I still have to vape at 10 watts/4.2 volts? I just don't like stressing my kit. I know with kanthal wire I have a bit more room to maneuver, but it's still troublesome. I'm still pretty new to vaping, am I missing something? Thanks for any help!

I have vaped a 0.4ohm coil at 20 watts+ with no issues. If its a proper DNA 30 chip that shouldn't be a problem. I am a little bit confused about your issue. Is it firing properly, and are you saying the vape is too hot?

I have also vaped a 1.5 ohm coil at well over 30watts no issues. I used to set my LVT to 15 watts with a 1.3ohm and it barely heated it up. You should be able to push that bad boy up a lot.
