Ok, so I have a VV VW mod. Can some om advise on how to use the settings? I can't notice an appreciable difference.

Thanks,

John

Well they are two different settings.

1. VV mode will put a constant voltage to the coil no matter the resistance of the coil

2. VW mode will adjust the voltage to maintain a constant voltage BASED ON the resistance of the coil

For example if you are vaping a 1.8 ohm coil at 3.8v and switch to a tank with a 2.2ohm coil it will still be putting 3.8v to the coil. If you have it set at 8w it will be putting about 3.8v to the 1.8ohm coil and about 4.2v to a 2.2 ohm coil. There are several ohm law calculators out there to enter the resistance and wattage to see how many volts you are producing in VW mode.

yeah, in short there is no difference. The only advantage to variable wattage for setting the wattage is if you switch you don't have to reset it if your coil resistances are different.

Thanks, that's helpful. But how do you decide what setting you want to use? Different juices work better on higher power etc.?

Whichever setting you use take a draw, turn it up a little, take a draw, and repeat until you get a slight burned taste. Then dial it back a touch and that's the sweet spot. It will be different based on the liquid and the resistance of the coil (in VV mode). in VW mode the resistance of the coil is irrelevant to finding the sweet spot.
