jsr27
I just received my new 1.8ohm coils and they are reading 2.2ohms. the coils I use to buy are 2.2 ohms. they read 2.3. why are the 1.8ohm coils reading the same as the 2.2ohm coils/
bcartervol98
All I use are 1.8ohm Kanger coils and they always read 2.0-2.1 it seems. My. 2.2s read 2.4-2.5.
Tam
Quality control isn't a strong point in China where these are made. That's why getting a battery with variable voltage helps so you can turn it up a bit to get the vapor you want. Compenstine
bcartervol98
And occasionally you will do a massive tank maintenance and change out 10-12 coils and fill tanks only to fins one has leaked all the liquid out and made a massive mess (thankfully in a shot glass) like happened to me when I woke up this morning lol. Earthling789
I rarely find that my MOD's resistance meter is accurate, as compared to a REAL OHM meter. I've tested 1.5 coils that read 1.6 on the real Ohm meter, and the MVP will read them from 1.6 to 1.9, depending on how it "feels" that day, lol. One of my 2.2 coils actually read differently each time I checked it... ranging from 2.3 to 2.6. Also, a dirty battery contact, or a tank not screwed-down snug will cause higher readings. Yes, quality-control is not perfect at the factories, but coil resistances are "close enough" to the value stamped on the side. At least I've only found coils that read 0.1 or 0.2 higher (using a real Ohm meter) than what is stamped on the side... I've not found any sub-ohm coils (yet). This inconsistency is why I bought the MVP... I can set my Wattage to what I prefer for the juice I'm using, and forget it, because, regardless of the coil's resistance, the Voltage will adjust automatically to provide a consistent vape.
