juicinjasmine1993 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 So I read this awesome article on NBC: http://www.nbcnews.com/business/consumer/vaping-electronic-cigarettes-gets-green-light-some-offices-n94746 Basically, to sum it up: An Oklahoma woman, CEO of a company, bought her employees close to $100 worth of vaping equipment, mainly those who were smokers of analogs, to help get them off. According to her, vaping is what got her off her awful smoking habit, and she wants other people to experience the same joy she has. Who would want to work for this company?? It's basically okay to sit at your desk and vape it up! Jazz Mtdobies, Joshuab3687, Patricia and 2 others 5
grailhunter78 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 That would be awesome. Weather in Oklahomas about to get hit with a fog warning. Mtdobies 1
Patricia Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 That is super cool but so is my boss. She did not buy us the equipment but she suggested it and allows us to vape at our desks. I feel lucky to have such an understanding boss and she never smoked. There were 3 of us who smoked and went outside several times a day for smoke breaks. It started with one then I joined her, then the last one joined us. Now we have a Analog free office and we all smell so much better. We even have people come into the office and say how good it smells in the office. VaporTron, Mtdobies and Compenstine 3
charliestheman Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I just figured everyone vaped at their desk. My boss actually got me started vaping, but sometimes I'm blowing clouds and the CEO walks by and just shakes his head and smirks like "That's weird, but with the work he's putting out, why not I guess" The vice presidents and above almost all dip, so some of the other employees have mentioned "if they say anything about no vaping, just mention the CEO will also have to give up his or her dip/chew" I keep a fan in my office that blows my vapor and prevents it from building up. Lots of people walk by and mention how good it smells when they pass my door. I tell them to stand there long enough and they might get a buzz.
VaporJunkie Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 This is nice to hear, I am also allowed by my boss to vape at my desk.
bcartervol98 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Vaping at my desk as I type this. It is welcome in my place of employment.
Earthling789 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I work from home, so I have the freedom to do anything I want at my desk, but also have to visit "offices" all over the country for my company, several times a year. Many of the smaller offices allow vaping at their desk, but not all of them. Some of the very large offices still require all vaping to be outdoors, along with the smokers, and one office in-particular only allows smoking in the parking lot (vaping too) because that office is actually housed inside a Federally-owned building (metal-detectors, x-ray machines, and armed guards kinda building)... thankfully I have only had to go that office once
kelli Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 i work in a law office, and i have my own area i call the kelli kave, where i am free to vape. nobody bothers me much and i reciprocate. ♥
