SteezeOG Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Couple ways would work. Cotton built up around the outside. A pillow of cotton on the bottom, although that is probably wasting 90% of your coil surface area. I'd stuff cotton down the coils vertically but not too tight. Not a bunch over the top but a little fan out of cotton along the base so it can wick up the juice in the well. You want to balance airflow with the surface area. Can't be restrictive so you lose airflow and stifle the coil but if it's too little wick you'll just burn up your juice in a second and get a lot of dry burnt hits.
Joshuab3687 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 So uh...How do you wick this thing? :P Do a U wick bridging over the top of the center and pull some of the wick out the bottoms just a bit
mvince201 Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 Can't try it til my battery is done charging =)
mvince201 Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 Looks good though! Ty!My first vertical coil build. Easy to build, not easy to wick haha Joshuab3687 1
SteezeOG Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Should work good. I think they work good for dripping but I don't get a better flavor or airflow on any of my attys with them. I haven't tried it on the new crown rda yet though I think that build and wick would work better with it. Might have to try it. What gauge of wire and number of wraps are you using? What's it come out to on the ohm meter?
mvince201 Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 Will let you know how it vapes when my battery is done haha
mvince201 Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 Vapor is pretty awesome, flavor is not great. Might need to do some tweaking and report back.
