fishguy1123 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 So my cousin has been trying to quit the stinkies for a while, cold turkey, chantix etc.... Failed everytime..... He's attempted twice since I started vapeing about 3 mos ago. I finaly convinced him to get a cheap evod starter kit and some liquid. Well, this afternoon will be his first vape experience! I realy hope he can stick with it. Fingers crossed he can finaly kick analogs! Joshuab3687 1
Mtdobies Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Yay! Good job sushi! Its so much easier w someone whose doing it too, and the ecigs. The other stuff just didn't work for me, these do, and he can learn from you.. eww learning from a fish, hmm. Tam and Joshuab3687 2
fishguy1123 Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 I lost track of the number of things I've taught him! lol Joshuab3687 1
Earthling789 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Congrats on getting him started! I've got my original eGo 950mAh batteries and two fresh Ce4 cartomizers (and a couple juices I don't care for) all packaged up and ready to use... just in case one of my friends or family decide they want to give it a try. If it gets them off the analogs it will be money well gifted to them! Mtdobies 1
jerryjoe Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Awesome fish. I tried the patch, chantix, gum cold turkey and cigalikes before buying my first eGO VV with MT3 tank.
Earthling789 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Vaping has been the first successful method of quitting analogs I've ever tried! Over two months now, and I've not craved an analog since the first few days! Honestly, vaping has also been the "cheapest" as well as the most effective! Patches made me "jumpy" and irritable... family said I was a "grizzly bear" all the time. First one in the morning made me feel "high", for about an hour, and late in the day, I was craving an analog big-time! Chantix (very expensive option) made me SICK... Insomnia, nightmares (when I could sleep), and upper/lower GI problems compounded by "cotton-mouth". I lost 10lb on Chantix, but didn't stop smoking, lol. It took me a month to get back to "normal" after stopping Chantix. Just another example of the "cure" being worse than the disease.... Cold-turkey worked for about 3 days... but I couldn't stop the urge to strangle complete strangers Cig-alikes... waste of money for about 10 good puffs, and the flavor offerings were horrible! I spent 2x as much on cig-alikes as I spent on actual analogs... and they were so poor at stopping the cravings, I still smoked analogs along with them (to get my flavor and nicotine).
Mtdobies Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Is the desire to choke complete strangers from chantix??? Hmm its been years and I still want to on occasion, must be the residual. Lol jerryjoe 1
jlh 1741 Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I always want to choke the crap out of complete strangers. Don't think it's nicotine related though. I have an intolerance for stupidity, much like people's lactose intolerance.
fishguy1123 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 So, he's useing it and said it seems to be working. Says he wants another tank to try more flavors, extra coils, and a carry case. All in all, so far so good!
Mtdobies Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Update: How's he doing fishy? I feel bad for new people its hard to figure out the vaping thing while getting off stinkies.Hopefully its working.
VapeMama Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Good job Fish! It is a good feeling when those we've invited to "try" vaping get on the bandwagon!
fishguy1123 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 At last check he's still cut back by half the amount of his usual analog habit. On the other hand, I'm takeing one of my friends from the lake to a local B&M to get his first setup this comeing weekend! grailhunter78 and Joshuab3687 2
jerryjoe Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Alright fish. Saving folks from the stinkies one vaper at a time. Joshuab3687 and Compenstine 2
