Tam Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 The sony' are Japanese. Much higher QC. Yes, we are. Thank you for noticing. Lol Honestly, you guys are too funny. I've been laughing as I read your posts. Great way to get the warnings in there and how serious the repercussions could be while having a good time with it. Joshuab3687 1
iheartvape Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Just a side note though, when you run dual coil set up, don't forget it cuts your resistance in half... in example... if you have two 1.0ohm coils and you put them in dual coil set up, you now have an effective ohm of 0.5 just food for thought when playing with coils and trying to avoid those super low ohms so ya don't cook off that grenade prematurely.
Tony8806 Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Lol... Well just came back from the smoke shop and the guy told me the batteries I had do not have a high enough output! So I am ordering batteries today and can't decide on the Sony's or efest batteries...
iheartvape Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) And did you buy an ohm meter while you were there? I heard those are needed while rebuilding coils and what not.... Edited May 21, 2014 by iheartvape Tam 1
Tony8806 Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 They had some ohm meters buy they were wayyy overpriced! Im ordering my ohm meter threw vapor hub. Whats the difference between the VTC4 & VTC5???
iheartvape Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I could be mistaken on this one, but I believe its just the amperage it can handle... vtc4 can handle 30 amps and vtc5 can handle 35 amps.
Tony8806 Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Hmm well I just found a video of a guy doing test on VTC3, VTC4, & VTC5. And from what I tried to make out of him talking was saying he suggest the VTC4... But theres not that much of a difference between them so im just sticking to the VTC5. Heres the link in case you wanted to see for yourself: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UrnlHum8V70
mvince201 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Get VTC5's and don't look back. Efest batteries are all re branded. ^^This is a 30a Efest. Edited May 21, 2014 by mvince201
iheartvape Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Wow... I didn't even know that! Shouldn't that be illegal, like copyright infringement or something?
mvince201 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 No clue! Lol. All I know is I heard it through the grapevine so I unwrapped one myself to see. Sure enough it's a Sony VTC4. Maybe these are Sonys that did not fully pass quality check or something?
iheartvape Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Well at least its a re-wrapped VTC4 and not some Chinese knock off....
mvince201 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Well at least its a re-wrapped VTC4 and not some Chinese knock off.... True story.
Happy Vapor Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I love using bread ties so much cheaper and if they are used bread ties the coils already wrapped. Lol I'm sure I'm not helping this situation I just couldn't help myself. Sorry
charliestheman Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Well at least its a re-wrapped VTC4 and not some Chinese knock off.... Well it might be a knock off of a knock off. Keep unwrapping and see what happens Just kidding Dont do that if you like your eyebrows
joejoevapekins Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Most of efest and EH are just rewrapped cells that that buy in huge bulk orders and rewrap with their logo. Same goes for orbtronics cells majority of them are Panasonics
Tony8806 Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Bought the Sony VTC5! Coming in this friday 2pack for $20 ain't a bad deal
SteezeOG Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Efest 35A are just rewrapped LG 20amps. I wouldn't trust them in my mech mods with subohm builds. No way. Sony VTC5 only. They can pulse up to 50 amps and 30amps continuous. Never even screw your atty on the mod until you put it on an ohm meter. I build it and check it. Wick it and check it. Then juice it and fire it to see both are burning and pumping out clouds. Then cap it and enjoy. Gotta be safe man damn. ValiantV 1
grailhunter78 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Is a efest an alright battery to use in an SVD. I want to know because the guy I'm buying an SVD off is throwing in an efest 18650 2000 mah battery I wanna make sure its OK.
