mvince201 Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 So today my second out of three vision spinners is no longer working. These batteries are less than 2 months old. What the heck is going on here? I've heard so many good things about them. Do I just have bad luck? First battery broke from a 2.5 foot fall onto carpet. Second one had issues to begin with (Loose internals) and has been allowing the lower contact point on the battery to contact the case causing it to get very hot in one little spot near the dial. I continued to use it making sure to keep my hand there and stop firing when I felt it get warm. Well it finally went out completely today as well. I'm very upset with the quality of these things and will be contacting Vision to see about getting them replaced. I should not have this many problems in less than 2 months.
mvince201 Posted May 3, 2014 Author Posted May 3, 2014 That sux. Yeah it does! What sucks even more is I love the battery, just HATE the quality!
Jeffb Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Ive owned quite a few Spinners and haven't had any issues.
Bebop Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I have 4 of 'em. No complaints. My oldest ones are prob going on 9months still kicking strong. Dont know what to say. Haven't heard any complaints
mvince201 Posted May 3, 2014 Author Posted May 3, 2014 Ive owned quite a few Spinners and haven't had any issues. I wonder if they just got tossed around too much during shipping. Because they were not packed extremely well. Probably what I get for buying online!
Jeffb Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I buy all my crap online. I doubt that is your problem, You might have just been unlucky and got the batts that were made during the swing shift when all the workers are tired or drunk

joejoevapekins Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Got one floating around somewhere that a year old and still working as of last time I used it
mvince201 Posted May 3, 2014 Author Posted May 3, 2014 A true "vision spinner".... I have no reason to believe otherwise aside from the crappy quality. All logos and trademarks are as should be. But you ARE right...there is a chance they are fake.
Bebop Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Actually, i should made a smiley face. I was joking about drunk vision employees..

PsychoVapist Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 The plate at the top is most likely stuck down, I haven't found a way to fix it but maybe some type of non-harmful lube, also it's possible your spinner is fake, I'm starting to believe mine is because it has happened with two different batteries from the same shop
bcartervol98 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I have mainly used Vision Spinners and have had no issue. The only ones I have hs die was about a 15 month old Spinner 1 that died a couple months after being lost in the surf at the beach then found about a half hour later miraculously. It lasted another couple months but eventually died. The only other issue is they do not float because my wife has given two of them a burial at sea and they still reside in about 30 feet of water in our cove lol.
