Sometimes coils dont last long. You end up getting a burnt taste or its vapor production goes down. If your unit came with extra coils, pop a new one in. If not, make sure you order some new coils. Its always good to have some extras on hand for back ups.

Before we can give you detailed directions, we kinda need detailed information.

The eGo 1300 -- is it a fixed voltage device or variable voltage?

What ohm coil are you using?

What kind of juice is in it? Meaning what PG/VG ratio? Is it very sweet?

All this will help us to help you. :)

Fixed voltage

Not sure what ohm, oops. haha.

Hawks Sauce, from Mt. Baker Vapor, and 50/50 (i really like 70/30, but where i bought it, they didn't ask, so i forgot. Bad customer service...) and kinda sweet, kinda mentholy, and a little acidic, but not very much.

also, i know for sure it hasn't cracked. i remember the first time i had a cracked tank, and thats definitely not it. haha.

I can't imagine the coils could only last for 2 days, my crappy CE4 disposable clearomizers coils lasted longer than that. Its a possibility but I don't think so.

So, i had 2 replacement coils. Really easy to fox, although as I took off the bottom part (trying to take it off my battery) I pilled the wrong part off now I have niccy fingers. Anyway, Im waiting for the wicks to soak, But the problem seems to be solved. How can I avoid coils burning out?

The only advice I can give is make sure and keep your tank filled up. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do. They end up getting that yucky burnt taste and you gotta toss em

The darker, sweeter juices tend to gunk up coils faster than lighter colored, less sweet juices.

Keep in mind that dual coils will cost a little more than single coils. You might want to think about picking up a Kanger Pro Tank mini or Anyvape Davide mini. These use single coils and most often the same Kanger coils that run around 2 dollars each. You can get them in a 5-pack. The two I mentioned are also bottom coil with glass tanks. :)

On the dual coil note, I also noticed that with my protank 3 mini stock dual coils, I picked up a burnt taste much easier than with a single coil installed (obviously because of less heat). But this may also be what you are experiencing. I switched to the single coils and like them much better.

the juice i have isn't too xwweet, and not so dark. i had 2 manger tanks, but i never liked them because they all seemed really air-y. Actually, i love my tank, i just didn't expect it to quit on my that fast. its only 2.99 for a coil :) thank you for the advice!!

On the Anyvape Davide minis there are four holes at the base. I just covered one with tape and it took care of the airy quality of the vape. Also, the kind of drip tip you use on these (you can change them), will make a difference in how airy a draw it is. :)

I had exactly the same problem with an Aspire tank, I thought I burnt it. It turned out, I wasn't only using a new tank, I had put new juice in the new tank. I saved a bottle especially to put in the new tank.

The juice was my problem, it tasted exactly like a burnt with but it was really that the juice hadn't steeped and the alchol/chemicals hadn't evaporated. Before throwing out the coil I decided to change juice to what I knew was good because I had been vaping it. The tried and true juice was PERFECT and that's all I changed.

It's definitely something to consider, but once you get it right, the Aspire ETS is my favorite above all my other clearo/cartomizers

I love em just the way they come. So glad I stocked up with extras before they started using those damn dual coils! Still have 4 in the box and 10 in rotation!
