yamankafozi Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Ok so today I bought this battery it's an MNKE IMR 18650 MaH and I have a scorpion mechanical mod. When I press the button at the bottom the it takes about 1 minute of holding it for vape to start happening any suggestions? extra: I have a dual coil build 26g kanthal wire, and a patriot clone atomizer, and im using premium e liquid, also the battery is a flat top
Joshuab3687 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Does the battery tend to rattle in the mod? If so, then the battery is not making a solid connection. Does the top cap of your mod have an adjustable positive connection pin?
yamankafozi Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 yes it rattles and this is the mod http://www.vaporbeast.com/stinger-mechanical-mod.html. It says it does have an adjustable pin but how can I adjust it.. im new to this

You should see a contact pin (it may be copper, silver, or brass). It should unscrew. Unscrew it a little, then re-attach it with the battery in the mod. If the battery still rattles, unscrew the pin a little more. Let me know if it helps yamankafozi and Mtdobies 2
yamankafozi Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 i cant take off my patriot rda from it it seems like its stuck D:

fishguy1123 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Hmm.... I'm sure some the the mech mod ppl here will chime in, but if I had to guess you may need to get a button top style battery to allow for better contact. I'd hold off until they get a chance to respond though.
yamankafozi Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 on the site i bought it from they said that there is an adjustable pin but i cant seem to find it, plus there are no new reviews yet because its a brand new mod
Joshuab3687 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Ok, your adjustable positive pin is screwed all the way in. If its stuck, you'll need to use a small pair of needlenose pliers and gently twist the smaller contact counterclockwise. Once it loosens with the pliers, you can do it by hand. The one that adjusts is the smaller post thats nestled up close to the bigger one in your first pic.
fishguy1123 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 In the top cap (where you screw on a device) does the pin move up and down with SLIGHT pressure? Don't push very hard to check. Some are floating so that with a tank/rda etc... on it that it move a lil bit. You may be able to see that if you screw on your device with the top cap seperated from the battery tube.
fishguy1123 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 http://puu.sh/8q4V3.jpg Yes, I believe thats what he meant
Joshuab3687 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I'll show you what mine looks like: Thats the pin run all the way in. The next is the pin unscrewed
joejoevapekins Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 By the looks of that 510 center pin almost looks like a floating pin. Any shops around you. Hands on help means alot in mech trouble shooting
Joshuab3687 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 See the smaller diameter pin at the far right? That unscrews from the slightly larger one that its up against on the left of it
joejoevapekins Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Do like Joshua said twist that smallest part of the center pin gently counter clockwise
Joshuab3687 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I dont think its a floater Joe. I bet when it came from the factory, they ran it all the way in tight to keep it from vibrating out when shipping. Same way my AR mod and Panzer clone was. Damn pin was ran in and tight.
joejoevapekins Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 At first look I thought it was a floater due to that small gap in the delrin. But I see what you see now lol had to zoom in
yamankafozi Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 ok i got it to unscrew now i got it to fit but my battery is vibrating when i press the button
fishguy1123 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Where the hell is the popcorn munching smiley when you need it!? lol
Joshuab3687 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 http://puu.sh/8q4V3.jpg Yep, thats the one! Sorry, I got post happy and didn't check what everyone else was posting. Lol! Yeah Yamankafozi, that one unscrews from the one just to the left of it
joejoevapekins Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 ok i got it to unscrew now i got it to fit but my battery is vibrating when i press the button are you sure you got a mech lol jk. May have to adjust it a little more
