hutterz
Got the tank 3 days ago. Have it on my SVD, stood up from couch and it fell off my lap. Struck the driptip against the carpet. Guess what! The base separated . Luckily it was an easy fix. I removed the pyrex and the flat faced bushing(o-ring) then grabbed 2 E-go adapter skirts.the one that came with it i put on top larger opening facing the base. And the one from my old kanger pro on the bottom. Wrapped a rag around it to keep it i. Place and gave it a few generous taps with a hammer. It actually works better than it did before i dropped it. Air control has a tighter seal . If you would like some pics just ask.
Scuba-Matt
Sorry to see your misfortune. I learned my lesson about glass tanks on my tall mods and setting them upright. I broke a kanger tank on my SVD by standing it up. Then along came the cat over went the mod on the tile floor and crack went the glass. I now have a mod stand to keep this from happing again. bcartervol98
I ordered 5 KPT 2 replacement glass and 5 Davide Mini replacement glass and still have all 10. I have dropped those tanks so many times on the boat, stood up with them on my lap, and all I have done is bent bases and broke drip tips. I have yet to break a glass lol. bcartervol98
Yea a Davide Mini but that was before I had replacements. She broke one lol. She has destroyed about 6 T3S's by dropping them and the base breaking off.
Saltwater
I dropped mine earlier today, kept using it till I could get it tore down. The atomizer threads slipped in the metal tube that connects to the mouth piece. Was very hard to get out, but came out. When it landed, it landed right on the tip and I guess the weak part is at the base. Where the atty meets the tube. I Put a new atty in, fires like normal. No damage to threads. I can't believe the glass didn't break.....
