fishguy1123 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) I'd like to see how many of you would like a device specific sub forum for discussions and questions that relate to either a particular model (Itaste vv v3, provary, etc..) or maybe a brand. Would it be better to have a manufacturer thread so that it could include all models by brand? I was thinking it could help collect info in a rather localized area for anyone looking for it, rather than spread out through other catagories so to speak. I know the search function works to help locate things, but does this sound like something you would use? Any input and thoughts as to what would make this a benefit to the site is welcome so please feel free to chime in whith anything that comes to mind. Edited March 19, 2014 by fishguy1123
mcquinn Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I am not into devices. Pretty much have been left behind everyone else on the forum. I am happy with what I have and don't see any need to buy the latest greatest thing.
bcartervol98 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Exactly what Mcquinn said. Battery, tank, liquid. KISS method. Less than a month away from my 1 year anniversary and I have all sorts of batteries and one mod a Vamo V3 and a lot of tanks and the difference between them all is small.
Earthling789 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I can see the benefit of perhaps a category-base sub-forum, but I think even a manufacturer-based or device-based sub-forum would be too cluttered and there would be such a great deal of cross-posting there would be a blur across lines. But, I'm with McQuinn and BCarter... in the fact that tanks and non-MOD batteries are in my wheel-house... maybe someday I'll pick up a Tesla or Magneto or something shiny and copper... but to find that info in a single "replaceable battery MOD" sub-forum (or not) would be fine with me.
Bebop Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Not necessary in my opinion. I do think we need a sticky though of a picture and a brief description of each type of device and families of devices. There seems to be confusion on what a mod is and RBAs and various things and the differences. Mtdobies 1
VapeHappy Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Not necessary in my opinion. I do think we need a sticky though of a picture and a brief description of each type of device and families of devices. There seems to be confusion on what a mod is and RBAs and various things and the differences. I`m with Bebop on this idea. There is simply too much propagation and musher-room brands, err clones, in the market. If the devices were spread out into differing forums then one would have to look into each sub forum to see the latest this or that, in more centralized "topical" forums one can see the newest this or that right away, and there is always a search function for specific, umm, searching. Of course I` new here and maybe don`t have the foggiest clue as to what I`m talking about. :?( (But I do know I`v done a lot of searching on VT prior to purchase, :?) Cheers, R Mtdobies 1
