cloud_nine
i've started using these batteries and started to notice that in some areas of the battery there are some slightly dark discoloration on the batteries. Are these defective? safe? trying not to blow my face off over here LOL BestVapes

joejoevapekins
Dark spots some times mean there is a leak in shell. Just speaking from past experience with high power led flashlights
Joshuab3687
Dark spots are a no go! Its what I call a "soft vent". Means the battery is leaking and could go critical with a full on "venting" episode. You don't want that in your hand when it goes!

Are these defective? safe? trying not to blow my face off over here LOL if the battery is authentic and was produced by Sony I would deffinetly try and contact them and ask for a replacment. sony being the company they are they will most likely replace the battery at no charge, the down side is how long it will take for sony to get back to you, evidence proving the battery is defective proof of purchase yadda yadda yadda. post some photos on here gosh darnit
