Love2VapeDaily Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 im using a innokin SVD with a octupus rda. here is my question. why does the flavor come and go? i dont drip on it everytime i take a drag but about every 6-10 drags do i drip on the atty. i never get a hot or burned taste but the flavor is strong and great on some hits and other hits its just vapor. currently running in power mode between 8-8.5w on a 1.7ohm factory coil. my 30ga kanthal and 3mm wick shows for delivery tomorrow. yes i am new to dripping (less than a week)
Bebop Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Are you making sure the hole is lined up with the coil?
Love2VapeDaily Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 I line the airhole up with the coil. It blows massive clouds the flavor is just never the same.
Bebop Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I know what you mean. Sometimes I think the flavor is so massive from mine that I quickly get vapors tongue.
Love2VapeDaily Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Now i tried rebuilding the coil. Built several from the cotton tail bunny to a regular stock coil. Flavor is great with 30ga kanthal and 3mm silica wick but vapor is just. Not there. Any advice?
WillBlack Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Are you still using the original, up from the bottom, air hole? Many folks have taken to blocking the deck air hole (a toothpick will do) then drilling another larger hole, directly in line with the coil, in the cap. Larger air hole = more vapor.
Love2VapeDaily Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 No. I have also drilled out the airhole in the cap. And tooth picks in the rda since before i left my fav vape shop.
WillBlack Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Well then you may want to consider making the hole larger, do you know the size?
