iClear 30s isnt working with iTaste MVP v1

Recommended Posts

Bought my iTaste MVP last summer. Love it, works great, battery lasts a reasonable amount of time, no issues...till now...

This week my iClear 30S came. I cleaned it out, filled it up, let it set for a little bit and popped it onto one of my vision spinners. This thing vapes like a monster, it's great. When my iTaste was done charging I popped it on there and it didnt work at all. The iTaste lights up but won't fire the tank.

I pulled out my iClear 30 and put it on the iTaste, no problems, fires right up.

I read on some forums that the contact in the iClear 30s can sometimes get "jammed" back up in the unit so I took some needle nose pliers and gently worked the contact so that it was just below the rim of the threads. Didnt work.

Another forums said that the contact in the iTaste can sometimes get stuck or gummed up. So i cleaned the crap out of it and tired again. Didnt work.

Yet another thread suggested that the vanity ring on the itaste can sometimes keep the clearomizer from making proper contact. I removed the vanity ring. Didnt work.

Looking for suggestions or solutions to this issue if there are any.

I know this is an old post but I didnt want to start another thread. I see many using them locally and love them so this is just MY opinion.

The iClear 30 that came with my MVP is garbage. I fixed mine easily, the garbage man picked it up last week. Ive got three brand new coils if anyone wants them.

Some tanks have long contact-pins and if over-tightened onto the MVP, will press down the contact-pin on the MVP. Even a 10th of a millimeter will be low enough to keep from making contact with some of your other tanks. The pin can be lifted by prying with a tiny flat-head screwdriver or hemostats, to lift it a tiny, tiny bit.

When you screw a tank back onto the MVP, remember to snug them until they make contact, and use the vanity ring to cover the gap (and stabilize the tank).

What Earthling said. I had the same problem with a couple clearomizers on my v1 MVP (but not on my v2 or Vapor Shark which has a spring loaded center pin). Screw it in until is just makes contact with the center pin then give it another 1/8 turn. If it's still loose (and it probably will be), UNscrew the vanity collar until it snugs up the tank. Same principle as tightening 2 non-lock nuts together to keep them from getting loose.
