Happy Vapor Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I have a k100 and an a6 RDA. I am running .5 to .6 ohms with an 18650 battery an still can't get the clouds I want. They are decent but I'm looking for a little more. Please help.
Joshuab3687 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 How are your coils wrapped? Around silica, are you using cotton wick, need to know what kind of methods you're using so we can trouble shoot. Also, whats your juice mix ratio? Are you using high VG content?

Joshuab3687 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Are they loose wraps around the cotton or tight together with cotton threaded thru? Also, how big are your airhole/s on your rda cap? And, last question, are you running dual coil or single?
Happy Vapor Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 Tight wraps and threaded through. No micro coils. single coil. dual coils didn't make that much of a difference. I started with dual coils and finally pulled the third post to give me more room on the deck

WillBlack Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Is your A6 that little 14mm atty? Does it have 2 holes (opposite) for dual coil operation? Dual coils need dual air holes. FWIW dual coils should provide more vapor, you'll have much more wire (coils) at the same ohms as a single. And most cloudchasers would consider 1/16" too small, but I have no experience with small diameter RDAs.
Joshuab3687 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Do you get any flavor with 100% vg? You'll get ok flavor, but the pg carries the flavor better. Maybe try going down to a 30pg/70vg. Good flavor, better vapor. Also, I understand the need for more room on the deck, but by taking off the 3rd post you delete a great opportunity for some serious vapor with a dual coil setup. I'm running a twisted 32ga 5/6 wrap dual setup at 0.7 ohms using Lucky#7 (banana high vg) juice from GoodlifeVapor and chucking BIG vapor!

Joshuab3687 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Thats a good build! The only reason I can guess at as to why you're not blowing huge clouds would have to be juice and/or more airflow from your cap.

Joshuab3687 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Lmao! Yep, as soon as I went to the "Darkside" (rda's), I had to drop from a 12 down to a 6 and sometimes depending on the juice, a 3 or 0.

Joshuab3687 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 If its the same flavor, you can mix a about 1/4 of your 18mg and the rest with 0 to make it about 4.5mg. So, that way you still get your nic-fix and the tiniest of throat hit.
