Aquatroy Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 So to mimic the new recreational laws here, the state has a bill coming up to raise the legal age up to 21 for all cigarette, ECig, and chewing tobacco sales. Personally, I'm in agreement, if the law was in place 40 years ago, and stinkies were harder to buy, I might have never started...
Joshuab3687 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I'm on the fence about that Troy. These days with all the info out there about the harmful effects of "Real" tobacco products, you'd think that 18 year old people would know what they're doing. At the same time, there are already 18 y/o's smoking, chewing, etc, they'll be cutoff at the register. But, I also agree that something needs to be done. As a veteran, I USED to believe that if you're old enough to serve, you should be allowed to drink. At this point, I think they should raise the age limit to get in the military to 21 so that they can raise the age limit to voting to 21.
BirdDog Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 http://denver.cbslocal.com/2014/02/05/age-to-buy-cigarettes-could-soon-change-in-colorado/ I agree with you about raising the age limit. It isn't a cure but a good start.
