Joye eGo-T issues

I have a Joyetech eGo-T 1000mAh battery I recently got from a friend of mine and recently I'm having an issue where if a tank is screwed into the battery (a tank in general) , the light stays lit after pressing it. It does not do this with a tank not on it, only when it's screwed in. I really like the battery so I don't really want to toss it, so I'm hoping the battery isn't toast but what can I say I got it for free

It should light up even with no tank. And it shouldnt stay on.

Sounds like a bad wire or switch.

No like, I press the button when a tank is on the battery and it stays lit even when I remove my finger and after a couple seconds turns back off. But when the tank is removed, the light works how it normally should.

Does it vape ok ? Ie : can you vape with it or does the coil seem dead ?

Slightly sticky button maybe ? Have you tried turning it off and on ? (5 rapid clicks) cleaned the contacts ?

Clean the contacts. and try a different tank and see if it does the same thing. I had a brand new generic do the same thing and it was a short in the coil.
