Good afternoon all,

I got into this around ten days ago. One trip to the store and 8 eBay purchases later (although only 2 have been delivered sit to snow in Atlanta) I have been analog ample free for 3 days. I can't thank this forum enough for the invaluable information.

When my kids (3 & 6) tell me they want a cigarette I know it was time to quit. That and it hurt to breath in the morning. I made it through the military and still didn't quit but enough is enough.

I won't lie and say I don't want one, the wife still smokes and I still have a few beer every night, but this makes it bearable.

That and I am a tinkerer by nature,my background is in electronics, and I am a big car and gun enthusiast, so I am prone to tinkering and upgrading. So I think I have found yet another hobby to dump money (that the wife insists we done have) into.

Sorry for the rant, thank you all for the information, I am very happy to be here and vaping.

Welcome! You wont regret it. My wife and I quit at the same time but that was after months of discussing it. We are still going strong almost 10 months later.

Good luck

Thank you, hanging in there.

Actually this is the first time i haven't had a cigarette "safety net" my wife ran to the store and I am watching the kids. So there isn't a cig in the house and I can't run to get more (without getting kids ready PITA)

I'm sorta freaking out, but is cool, just placed a ecblend order for tobacco flavors even though my first order has yet to arrive.

I've been through so much in my life (as I'm sure everyone else has) but I feel like a total B***H cause I am a slave to cigarettes.

Vaping isn't an all or nothing thing. If you really want a cigarette, do ahead and have one. Many of us did and eventually, we found we just didn't want that cigarette anymore and just stuck with vaping.

For me, it was the thought of "you can't have one" that made it so hard to get off analogs. When I gave myself permission to have either one that took the pressure off and I found myself going totally over to vaping in five days. YMMV.

Go you! We'll be your cheering section over here. :)

Believe me. You sound like you're ready. No worries. Take it at your own pace. In a short time you'll be free of that habit and you'll be amazed. You're just going to go thru a little withdrawals but you'll come out ok.

^^ What she said. Some put analogs down immediately, some of us didn't. I still smoked analogs for ten days, until I got over the emotional situation I was in, until we finished our supply, and when I was ready to say, "Okay, the vape tastes better, I don't want any more analogs." With that being said, I did have two slip up dates, one in early August, and the last one August 14th.

Yeah, hearing your kids say something like that would tend to put it into perspective. I got used to hearing my kids ask why we COULDN'T quit, and explaining that it's not that easy, it's one of the hardest LEGAL addictions there is to break, and a dirty, nasty habit that I hoped they didn't ever do. They were so disgusted by smoking that they never tried it. I can say for sure my oldest won't, for varying reasons, but I guess my youngest isn't out of the "age bracket", as he's 17, and he still expresses intense dislike for anything resembling cigarettes. They both even STILL, 6 months later, call the vapor, smoke. One, because it looks like smoke, and the other, because he THINKS it smells like smoke.....but it doesn't, and he's only here 24 hours out of the week except when college is on break.

I know a lot of people that have an analog here and there still. My best friend was a 2 pack a day smoker now he is down to about 3 analogs a day. He has a hard time with giving them up completely he says it's the TH, he hasn't found a juice or a set up that gives him the one he wants. Either way he is better off then he was at with 2 packs a day.

Just take it a day at a time, when your ready to give up the analogs completely, you will. Until then just play around with your ecigarette experiment and enjoy your Vape!

I have totally stopped smoking at work, normally I smoke at least a pack at work.

The only time I have trouble is when I get home, the wife smokes and I normally drink at least 6 blue moon a night. I ordered and just received ecblend "new harbor" and "writers den" in hopes it stops the cravings at night. I'm going to kick this habit. I also ordered a kanger x6 should be here Monday, I know it's a noob mod, but I tried one at the store and like the heft to it.
