Happy Vapor
Can you twist 30 gauge kanthal? I guess the correct question is will it be payable enough to wrap?
Joshuab3687
You can twist any gauge together. You can watch Riptrippers on Youtube. You'll need pliers, a variable speed drill, and an allen key.
Joshuab3687
When I get home this w/e, I'm gonna do a triple twisted 32ga and a twisted 28ga
GEFFiCART
When I get home this w/e, I'm gonna do a triple twisted 32ga and a twisted 28ga triple twisted? how on earth will you get those through any post lol, so thick.
Joshuab3687
triple twisted? how on earth will you get those through any post lol, so thick. I'm gonna wrap em around the screw instead of putting thru the post holes. I could probably get em thru the neg posts on my Patriot but not two thru the positive post for a dual setup. So, I'll just wrap em. Lol
Joshuab3687
Btw, I'm not gonna be triple twisting the 28ga, those are just gonna go double. The 32ga will get tripled.
Happy Vapor
What are the advantages of twisting wire?I've seen it done but don't know the differace
Joshuab3687
It can lower the resistance by, I think, a third. It also creates a hot vape. It helps with flavor and vapor production. GEFFiCART
GEFFiCART
What are the advantages of twisting wire? I've seen it done but don't know the differace lowers the resistance because you're gaining mass of the given wire by twisting the higher the mass of the wire [aka guage] the lower the resistance I've also found by twisting it allows the wick to 'breath' better because of the tiny gaps in-between each wrap due do the twisting better breathing = larger vapor & better flavor

GEFFiCART
Yeah so there's a total of 4 coils. Two on each side. It's sitting on a Helios clone. The 4 post design makes it easy to work multiple coils

It's 28g around a 23g syringe I made 14 wraps on each coil and bent it in half.

GEFFiCART
Octo-coil is a generic coils build.. Idk if anyone has done this before. Idk if I should take honors of it.But it's a nano version of the vertical bunny coil
