Itaste VV v3.0 won't charge! But the screen turns on at the point I connect it

HELP!!! BRAND NEW TO THIS! My friend gave me a iTaste vv v3.0 today, It wasn't charged so I could try it out, so I trusted him that it worked. When I got home I put it to charge, the screen turned on but the button must turn green when it is charging and it does not. I can change all the setting when it is connected, but when it is released nothing turns on, like I said, I am new to this so please help, and easy with the big words, I mean NEW! Thank you

Was this a brand new unit? How long did you charge it?

For about for hours, he said the buttons light will turn green when it is charging, and will turn off when it is complete, and the light obviously hasn't turned on

Yes thats true about the lights. Sounds like you have a defective unit.

Is that repairable, if I open it up? I am new I don't know much

If your mechanically inclined, good with electronics & like to tinker, then go for it.

Are you sure you are using the correct charger?

Did he give you the correct charger? And have you called your friend to let him know what's going on?
