Rixter Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Here's the dual-coil setup on my Veritas RBA. I used a 2.5mm Kuro Coiler clone from SlowTech to wrap two 26g Kanthal A-1 9/8 1Ω coils.
Drew661 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 22 gauge at .2 ohm Just like a freight train. Lol. No way I can vape this for more than a few minutes. Great flavor though
vaping_jake Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 24 guage 7 wraps 0.3 ohms has a small delay to it but i like the setup so far. Im gonna try doing it in parallel next
gag8tor Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 First build for me on my Freakshow. 1.1 ohms 28 gauge 8 wraps with Japanese cotton. Wicking looks kinda ugly and I probably used too much. It was a little tight at first but now it's cruizin'.
Tug Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 (edited) scorpion coil I built last night Edited March 14, 2015 by TugBoat shen_long86, gag8tor, Vapor Guy and 3 others 6
Rixter Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 scorpion coil I built last night Is that a Tugboat RDA, and do the air-holes line up with the coils fairly well?
Tug Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 No Rix,it's a Stillare clone and surprisingly the air holes line up just fine.I really like this coil. The air holes are the cyclops type holes I've got it wide open on both ends
vaping_jake Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Tugboat; do you run a scorpion coil on both sides or just as you have it pictured? Im trying to build one on with 26g but i always ruin it trying to get the tail twisted tighter.
Tug Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Just one and the trick to twisting it is put both coils on your drill bit and voilà be sure and heat treaty too, it takes the springy out
Compenstine Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 @Jake one way to do it by hand with pliers is to wrap it like this: Then grab the loop and twist it together. Vapor Guy 1
vaping_jake Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 thanks comp, my problem is i keep twisting trying to get it real tight, i know there is no reason too but i cant help myself lol once i get my 26650 rda i will try a lower guage
Compenstine Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 This is as tight as can get with a hand twist 26ga: vaping_jake 1

GeorgeF Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Thanks. 25 ga. is easy to work with especially on a 2.4mm screwdriver.
shen_long86 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 New build in the cartel 26ga macro 4 wraps on a 9/64 screwdriver @ 0.37 ohms
