Richstag Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 So this post is for Kayfun users. I have played with different resistance micro coils in the standard style I was taught and figured out the best wicking for each fluid. I just tried a new way to attach my coil and run my wick. Heres a pic to show IMG_20140620_215139 by Richstag, on Flickr Has anyone tried this way opposed to the slanted way like in this pic image by Richstag, on Flickr Just made it and I centered it and tucked the wicks. I also found a neat way to get the coil as low to the air hole as possible. i just slide a tiny spacer under it and lower it down then remove the spacer. Leaves a very small gap and I can't mess it up as easily. 3Rutez 1
Bushwick Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Sorry to hassle you like that, Rutez. I know you are an experienced builder and are aware of all the safety stuff. I wasn't paying too much attention. On a more positive note, nice build, Rich. It looks great!
3Rutez Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 No harm done. I take all criticism as the constructive type. Bushwick 1

Going to try it for a week like I have my other coils.
iheartvape Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 24g w/ 30g twisted dually @ 10 wraps for 0.32 ohm..... 3Rutez 1
iheartvape Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Thank you. I haven't even done anything with it yet. Its just sitting there still. I haven't been using my mechs lately, and that's too low resistance for my 20watt device.
iheartvape Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Nothing is wrong with them, just been on a VW kick lately.... lol
Richstag Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Oh gotcha! Yeah, I never fell for the vv/vw devices. They are neat but I can't get one to run like my mech. On the other hand the nicest I have tried is the sigeli 20w and kick2.
iheartvape Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I just wicked that build and threw it on my maraxus with a fresh vtc5 holy vape batman... hit like a freight train! I forgot how hot a sub ohm hits, and those coils glow red in a split second. I think I rekindled my love for my mechs... lol Love2VapeDaily 1

Richstag Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I had this problem it was the antivirus blocking this site from accessing my computer's clipboard.
crush02342002 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 (edited) iv tried with my laptop and my phone...I cant simply copy from photobucket and past the url into my post...how does everyone else do it? iv done it on every other forum, I cant paste anything here. Edited June 23, 2014 by crush02342002
iheartvape Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Use the "IMG" code and just paste it directly into the body of your post.
mvince201 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 .08? *sigh* That's way too low. You have a 46amp battery? Sony VTC5 is safe to pulse up to 60 amps for 10 seconds or under I believe. 30 amps is the max continuous discharge.
crush02342002 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 well if anyone cares to see you can see the pics on fadoravapor.com forum under diy mods and mechanicals
Bushwick Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I use photobucket as well. Use the Direct code. That is the only one that works for me.
crush02342002 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 still a no go... I cant paste anything...no links whatsoever
