grace247
Hey All. Happy Thanksgiving. Im a newbee to vaping. I can vape 6 - 8 hours a day so far. When I first started it was not pleasant until I discovered that My nicotine was too high. Since I lowered the nicotine its been going very nicely. I want to make a complete switch but my gut has been bloated. Is this a side effect from vaping? Should I go ahead with the switch or wait until my gut feels better? bcartervol98
Bloating and edema (swelling) are symptoms of dehydration and vaping is very dehydrating. Heartburn is another side effect that can be alleviated with sufficient hydration.
Tam
I second what bcarter said. You'll want to drink lots of water -- not tea or coffee because those work like diuretics.
grace247
Thanx for the advise guys. Im glad that I found this site. Its really nice to go to a place for advise and support. Vaping is a new thing - its like you really just cant ask anyone. So happens that I like tea and don't drink enough water. Will have to make some changes. Not going to give up yet. Another question - Im sensitive to sugar alcohols - like the stuff they use in low cal stuff - does this mean that I could be sensitive to any of the chemicals in the e-juice? That would be a question I'd ask your juice vendor: what kind of sweetener do they put into their e-liquids? If the type is the one you're sensitive to I'd be switching to a different vendor. Outside of that...I got nothin'.
Compenstine
VG and PG are natural sweeteners, they alone could possibly case an issue if your sensitive to sweeteners. I would suggest you start with low VG to Pg mix 20VG/80PG with no added sweeteners and see if causes you problems. Some flavorings also have a alcohol base. Depending on what flavorings are being used in the juice, that could add to your issue. Most reputable juice makers will tell you if any added sweetener or alcohol are in the juice you are looking to buy. If they don't want to tell you, I wouldn't buy the juice.
