New(ish) to Vaping, Have EGo Twist- help choosing the best tank piece!

Recommended Posts

Hey all- I'm relatively new to vaping and am looking for a little help, as there is so much information and oh-so-many products to choose from out there. I had been vaping on and off for a little while months ago, but fell back into smoking real cigs. While I was at my local vape store, the clerks were very helpful, but I have moved and now that I want to get back into vaping, I don't really know anywhere local to go. I also figured I'd rather reach out to other vapers who aren't trying to sell me anything and will give me honest opinoins based on their own experiences.

That being said, I have the eGo Twist battery, which as a beginner I am very happy with. The freedom to choose my voltage is pretty great. The only issue I have is finding the correct/best tank to use for this battery. I've read that if you don't use the correct one, it can either burn the liquid or not give a satisfying hit (I have experienced both issues thus far). There is so much info out there to sort through, so I was wondering if anyone else using this vaporizer could help point me in the right direction.

Please note that I don't really know the correct terminology for different pieces yet, i.e. cartomizer, itomizer, tank, etc. so I apologize for possibly not using the correct terms.

I appreciate anyone reading this and taking the time to help out!

Beginning- get a Kanger brand T2 clearomizer and some replacement coils. This is a clearomizer you can take apart and replace the coil and wick assembly. Simple to use and very satisfying and reliable. They are about $5 and the coils come in a 5-pack for about $6.

If you want to spend a little more, get a Kanger mini protank 2. ($12) and replacement coils.

You must match the coils with the type of tank you get.

Start there, then take your time reading and checking out things.

Welcome to the forum. In my opinion you can't beat a pryex (glass tank) like Bebop's recommendation with a Kanger mini protank 2. I personally feel that glass tanks provide me with the best flavor. I also hear lots of folks enjoy the mini Davide Glassomizer.

Best of luck and make sure to read up or review the type you are leaning towards on YouTube.

You will get a dozen different answers on who likes what best, so it takes a little time to find out what works for you.. Lately I've been using davide mini glassomizers as I think they give the best flavor, and the use the same coils as the mini protank, and evods, and others, so I'm only having to buy one type of coil. Trick is finding the resistance level that works too. I like 2.2 ohm coils on my twists I find the 1.8s too hot for me...IMHO Welcome to VT!

I switched from a T3 to a Davide but also use a Mini Nova I find the 2.2 coil in the Davide nice and a 1.8 in the Nova.

With a twist you have the option of turning it up or down depending. I use both on standard ego batts with no issues.
