highpass
I thought battery size (400, 650, 1000mah etc) was merely the capacity of the battery... why do low resistance items need a higher mah battery?
joe2003
LR draws more amps and puts more strain on the batts. a higher mah can usually handle the strain better. That's why 650 or higher is usually recommended for LR coils. The best indication of a batts.potential to handle more amps is it's "C" rating but that info can be hard to find for specific batts.
