Grant951
After watching some reviews on the Vamo, Idk how I feel about the size. What are some smaller sized mods that also offer the option of variable voltage and wattage? I don't really like the idea of a mechanical mod because Id like to be able to keep the same battery in and change voltage and wattage whenever. Also how do mods look with t2s and t3s? Those are my preferred tanks right now.
Tam
If I'm not mistaken nearly all the round, tube-like mods are about the same size -- if they're not square shaped. When I put my Davide mini on my Evic it looks a little odd because the tank is much smaller around diameter-wise than the tube of the mod. My Pro Tank and Pro Tank 2 look more finished and like a better fit. You do get used to the size after using it for a while. YMMV.

Grant951
I looked at the mvp and will definitely consider. Tameiki, how do you like your e vic? I watched a review for it last night and the guy seemed to like it, but he had some issues when plugging it into his computer and stuff to update it. I watched a review for it last night and the guy seemed to like it, but he had some issues when plugging it into his computer and stuff to update it. So far the Evic seems to be fine, I'm still not totally versed on how to use it correctly but I'm learning. It hasn't blown me away like I'd hoped an APV would but then again I might not have found the right settings just yet. Still haven't put it onto my computer yet to update any hardware (no need to right now), but that should get interesting when I do. My main problem with getting to know the Evic is my lack of time to devote to it, the voltage and wattage settings have me a bit stumped at this point. My nefarious plan today is to take it with me to my local B&M where I bought it and have the guys there give me some pointers. I'm crossing my fingers that it's a simple tweak to get it where I want it.

I've had mine months and never played with the MVR mode, but very happy with it, especially after fitting it with a black body kit and straight/flat top without the taper... Tam, Try it on VW with a 2.2- 2.4 ohm device, and start at 6 watts, and go up from there, I'm usually 7-8 watts depending on juice ( I use 50/50 ) the volts will adjust accordingly.,The evic recommend is very conservative. Thanks for the tip, Troy. I tried it on VW mode and thought I was doing something wrong (according to directions), when it seemed I kept having to up the wattage to get a decent vape. Still so much to learn on this thing! I also mostly use a 50/50 blend as well...

Those are my preferred tanks right now. Vamo is the type of Mod that has 4 pieces that screw together to make the tube. Using them all accommodates a larger 18650 (2000mah) battery and only using 3 pieces accommodates a 18350 battery. These arent the only two kinds of batteries but definitely the most widely used. Then there are telescoping Mods that accommodate the other varieties of batteries between the 18650 and 18350 (around 1200mah). I am just not a big fan of the looks of the telescoping models and since I plan to use only 18650s at all times, the telescoping feature doesn't matter to me. I went with the Vamo V3 and love it, but everyone likes something different. I set out to spend around $50 on the unit itself and the Vamo fit nicely into that range. I love it, some seem to not like them (I dont get why, but everyone likes something different). The T3S will fit nicely on any Mod with an Ego connection and look fine. I only use Davide minis and I like the way the chrome looks on chrome with no plastic and all glass, but to each their own there too.
iheartvape
I use the iTaste SVD, it is a telescoping VV/VW mod. It is pretty big if you use the Long tube for the bigger batteries, but you can also throw the smaller tube on and use a small battery which really compacts the look of the mod. It has a built in ohm reader, VV and VW, and you can lock it so you don't accidentally hit the "+" or "-" for you watts or volts on accident. It is a pretty sturdy device, looks pretty sharp if you run a larger atomizer or cartomizer set up or a RDA.
bcartervol98
This might help with the size-look comparisons you are doing. A couple pics: Here is the Vamo V3 with all pieces (except top piece, I at first thought I needed to take this off to use the Ego connection and as you can see in other pics, it is not necessary) and an 18650 battery sitting next to a Vision Spinner 1300mah Here is just a shot of the Vamo V3 with a Davide Mini of Unicorn Blood And here is a "History of my vaping adventure" in pictures from where I started. Great for a size comparison. From right to left, Njoy King, Topaz bull%^$# kit from cigar store, Ego 400mah mini, EgoT 1000mah, Vision Spinner 1300MAH with KPT 2, and Vamo V3 with Davide Mini Edited October 12, 2013 by bcartervol98 Tam and iheartvape
Grant951
I think I will end up going with a vamo here pretty soon. The first picture you posted, dues it have both the batteries in it or just one? Have you had any issues with the chrome coming off?
bcartervol98
Well both batteries would denote 2, and it's one 18650 which is the same size as 2 18350s. No issues yet with chrome coming off and it has been about everywhere I have been. Just don't get the black it wears off quickly from what I hear. IMEDICx90
You shouldn't stack batteries in anything. App or mechanical. There is absolutely no reason to do so since you can buy multiple batteries and build the coils to whatever ohms you want in a mechanical. It's not a safe practice so read some more about batteries before you venture to far grant.
