Picked up my first glass tank!

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am still very new to all of this. But loving this so far.

I just picked up a Kanger Pro Tank II. Pretty excited. I had read that glass tanks are the way to go for best flavor and no leaching.

I found a LVS (local vape shop) close to my work. I probably paid a few extra bucks but did not have to wait for it to ship. So I'm okay with that. They had a pretty good selection of juice. All made in the USA.

Shoot. Did not use it a bunch. But did a bit. Crappy!! I will give it a good wash with hot water.

I also picked up a bottle of Halo juice, cafe mocha. Not a fan. Not a fan at all. Of course I have read that the taste of juice is very subjective. And I am finding out that first hand. Good news is, I am building myself quite he collection of juice. I grabbed a few of the empty plastic needle bottles. I am a bit messy so this helps fine tune the refill process for me.

I wish I could say that I am 100% off the analogs. But I can't say that today. I have had two a day for the last few days, and today one. I am going to try to just do that one, and be fully quit tomorrow. Morning one is the hardest.

When you wash the KPT2, do it with the stopper in and to be extra careful, use a large plastic bowl so you won't lose an O-ring. It's easier to fish it out of a bowl than to try to get it out of the trap. :D

Don't worry about "quitting" analogs, it'll come with time. Smoke one or several as the mood suits you. You'll find that, by taking the stress off the "I must quit NOW!" mindset, you'll wake up one day and won't want to light one up. At least that's what worked for me. Once I quit pressuring myself to totally quit, it came naturally. :)

Thanks Tam. Great advice. I find that I am getting to that point. I completely forget about them at night. Vaping satisfies my needs. I am close. I have about half a pack of analogs and threw them somewhere in my garage (smoking/ vaping/ man cave {I even have cable tv}). Lol

I know where they landed but it's somewhat of a challenge to get to them. I am a big fan of knowing yourself. I'm a bit lazy. Lol.

Cleaned the KPT well with hot water while scrubbing with my fingers. Did not lose an o-ring, plugged the sink JIC. Seems good to go. At least I got that horrible cafe mocha taste out of the tank. I hope one of my friends takes up vaping so I can try to pawn it off on them.

When I finally went to vaping 100% I still had five unopened packs of smokes in the fridge (it keeps them from drying out as I live in Colorado). That was in May of 2012. Today I gave away four of the packs to a friend's daughter who will smoke anything no matter how vile. Lol. I kept one as a safety net to quiet my inner demon conditioning that makes me want to panic that I don't have any cigarettes in the house -- even if I don't smoke any more. Just knowing it's there is enough and I don't have an urge to go grab one. You'll get there, too. :)
