bcartervol98
They always read high in resistance in my Vamo. I have gone through a bunch and 1.8 usually reads 2.1-2.3. The 2.2 reads 2.3-2.5 but the 2.5s seem to always read right at 2.5. This is out of the box in a full tank. The lowest reading I have had was 1.9 on one coil the rest of my 1.8s read 2.1 and above. Anyone else notice that? Is a Vamo accurate in reading resistance?
spydre
I don't know about a Vamo, but on my Zmax, for 2.2 ohm heads, I've read anywhere from 1.6 ohms to 2.4. With my 2.5 ohm box, the highest reading out of the box I've seen on that was 2.8, never paid attention to how low the 2.5's went.
3Rutez
My eVic reads 1.9-2.0ohm with my ProTank 2. I believe it's a 1.8ohm coil.
Bebop
I think what's interesting is the error should be the other way. You should be getting less resistance with the tank full. I think a DIY coil builder will best answer this.
edgie13
I've been getting 2.0 consistently with 2.0 - 2.2 Kanger coils on my SVD. Edited September 17, 2013 by edgie13
IMEDICx90
with a full tank i actually lose resistance. I go anywhere from.1-.4 in a drop... it comes back up as the juice levels go down... so maybe thats what you guys are seeing? anyone testing the resistance with just the coil? bcartervol98
No mine have always been tested with a full tank but that reading doesn't change even after the tank is empty. It's just weird.
IMEDICx90
try it with a dry coil and see what you get. you should be in the ball park +/- .2 ohms
spydre
I know hubby told me next time I get a very low read like the two 1.6 coils I read, to have him test it on his Provari. And then if it still comes back at that, he'll take the coil out and check with the multimeter just to be sure before I pitch it.
IMEDICx90
why would you pitch the coils? that doesnt make any sense... are they not working? if they are funtioning... just dial your vape back a watt or 2... seems like your wasting good coils to me :
